The ledger — where the deck connects to your house — is the most common failure point on poorly built decks. We flash it properly and bolt it to the rim joist, not just lag-screw it to siding.
For decking material, you choose between Composite Decks — low-maintenance boards from Trex, TimberTech, and similar brands — or Wood Deck Construction using pressure-treated, cedar, or other species.
